if u are a first timer i suggest u get a package here since its difficult if ur not familiar w./the place ur going..if sanay na,then go on ur own...

i agree if first time nimo mas okay mag package tour.....magdali-dali raman ka during sa tour but for sure u an go to tourist destinations sa place...but u still have a lot of time for own adventure...normally ang package tour starts at 8a.m and ends at around 4om or even 3 pm....so daghan paka time for own shopping....and suroy....just a little advise..ayaw pag shop if dad-on mu mga jewelry or souvenor shop sa inyo tourist guides....kay medyo mas expensive compared ikaw ra mag buy sa imo gusto nga stores...and for jewelry....buy gyud mu sa jewelry store sa Hongkong.......n China ayaw palit pataka ug chinese gold...daghan na nailad sa China....

@SamuraiArcher- thanks for your pointers, esp. about jewelry shopping..mangutana ko.when it comes to souvenirs asa man nindot mamapalit nga barato ra ang presyo..have you been to thier night markets?such as temple night market and ladie's night market.i read a lot of good reviews about these places...

being a first-time traveler, i suggest to go on your own... well-planned vacation is very vital. just check the place on google, on different forums, and go buy some maps. those are the things i would do. learn things by your own.

@Mace- for jewelries, if ul buy sa jewlry shop, you dont have to worry kay ang ila price nag change everyday, depends on the gold price sa hongkong, per gram man ang ila pricing didto, but you still can ask for discounts sa mga jewelry shops..hangyo lang gihapn ka....ya i've been to sa ilang night market..okay man pud but most of the time kay over pricing sila, especially if they nu nga urista ka...hangyo gyud ka tamas ginhawa sa night market nila..adto lang gyud for experience nimo...na-a sila part didto sa hongkong mga shops for RTw's usa na sya ka stret , unya other street mga bags pud..unya sa lain mga electronics, mas barato didto, gamay ra mga turista makaadto kay medyo lisod gyud tul-tulon,...wen ka plan adto hongkong? kay will ask my sister for the name of the place....kalmot ko sa name sa area....for sure barato didto compared sa night market....mga branded items didto kay fixed ang price but daghan lang mga sale especially Goirdano, Bosinni, crocodile, guess, natica, lacoste, etc....if u'll buy a perfume try sa watsons..barato gyud ila perfume....

nakatry nako sariling diskarte pero I might try package tour specially if limited lang ang time nako, dili pwede ang sariling diskarte kay tagbaw pako pangita sa mga tourist spots. convenient ra nag sariling diskarte if you have enough tine to roam around pero if nakaset ang schedule nimo to do other things after sa vacation impractical siya
