    if 240 hours thats 240/8 = 30 days
then pila mo kabouk sa team?
with saktong planning, design(dli UI design) ug schedule management kaya ra nang 30 days nya more than one developer.

work in parallel lang jd mo, while a certain individual is writing the code for data handlers, the other individual will do the UI and another person will do the business logic..

idesign lang nnyu ug tarung before mo mag write ug code jd kay kng diretso mo ug dukdok, aw kulang jd na nyung 30 days.

    good luck

depende sa scope or features. for 70 employees pwede man gani simple excel file. included na dun ang mga deducations, calculated taxes, allowance etc... you can find alot of templates which is good for startup as well, especially if going to step more on computerized payroll system.

there are hundreds of free-or-trial-versions of payroll systems out there, you can download that and study and make your own modification base on company needs.

as for one month it isn't enough especially if you will design with more features, coz you still need to explain and train to end users, it cud be a big break for you to be absorb on that company...so go for it. grabe the chance. GOODLUCK.

lisud ra ba nang payroll bai especially if ang imu himuan ug Payroll system kay kanang company nga 24 hrs ang operation..

if development lang, which means CODING ONLY, given 3 in a team i think ok ra ang 30 days BUT if muagi pa jud mo sa tedious nga SDLC kuwang ra nang 30 days bai... i think knahanglan mo mu-negotiate balik sa inu senior engineer...

    that's my opinion though

1 month for a whole system...

Naa namo framework? naa namo processes? naa namo SDLC?

    Kung wala...lisud gamay...

Sulay ta og enumerate og modules...

Enrollement, Payroll Transaction, Time IN/Time OUT (DTR), Monitoring...

og mga calculations sa SSS, Pagibig, Tax (Ang yawa nga tax), Late, Overtime, Adjustments.

    gikapoi na ko og hunahuna...

Actually last week na namo karon, the system will be presented next week. We have 4 members in the team, then tasks we're divided. Ako silbi ang project manager kay ako man ang nakabalo sa flow sa system, ako pud ang database designer, the other is UI designer, the other one is our head programmer and the last one among tester. First major project ni namo so dili mi ka estimate sa time, nag agree rapud mi sa requirements nga gihatag nila sa amo.

    Features of the system.
    1. Windows version - they will migrate their payroll from DOS
    2. Employee management - add, edit, view, delete
    3. payroll calculations - gross, deductions, including na SSS, withholding tax etc.

We have completed these tasks already, then naa two features nga wala namo na implement sa payroll kai na short mi sa time
    1. Biometric system
    2. Online attendance for their field employees.

What do you think? Naka take na mi ug software engineering, then nag develop mi sa VB.NET with MySQL as DBMS. Ok lang ba ingnon ang naghatag sa amo ani nga task nga wala namo na implement tanan nila gi require kai short mi sa time? In the first place man gud nagsugot rapud mi sa gipanghatag nila nga requirements.

online attandance is pretty easy, just make some scripts the can generate html table base on your db. this can be done quickly. for biometric may a bit takes time, depends upon the hardware or if it comes along with the software as normally does, you can port this to your current system.

VB.NET and MySQL is a good choice...than to what they currently have which is DOS base system... so GOODLUCK.

by the way, MySQL is RDBMS.

1 member only for testing? dba waste of resource ni cya? pwedi ra man each member mo perform ug unit testing or ang client nnyu ang mo perform sa testing.
if i assign ni cya ug something na makatabang sa nyung time then mas mopaspas guro mo oi..
