Pau Gasol - Class Above the game

As I was reading an article about Odom being shipped to Dallas , Kobe and Fish not thrilled about it - I read this bit about Pau: This is what he said

"I understand this is a business, and it's become more of a business than a sport nowadays," Gasol said. "It hasn't been extremely easy to be calm and quiet and not think about the different possibilities. But I'm still here, and I'm thankful for that."

As you hear players not coming to camp for whatever reasons , Pau comes in and still shows the humble character we know him so well for inspight of the crazy trade proposals we have been hearing , lisod uy to be calm about it But he still is the Classy Character that we all want from a Pro Player. He should be a symbol that life isn't about where your shipped , how much you make but a person that can be depended upon , a true Professional.

i totally agree, i hate to see guys leaving la who helped during those championship runs.. well, business is business. i salute pau for being a true professional and im pretty amazed how he maintain he's composure because sure its been tough. i just hope he will stay in la he was one the major factor why la is on the top again. personally, i would love to see bynum leaving instead. but whatever happens if he'll be traded or not, pau will always be a laker and im sure if he leaves he will surely be missed in la.. damn, pretty emotional huh..lol

Regarding your post to move this to Laker thread or NBA , This stays in main category , wanted to highlight Pau as a person being unselfish in Pro sports , not as a Laker or an NBA player.

i guess they are after the salary. to think gasol has rings already. who cares if he's being traded from one team to another... One thing nice about being traded or signed friom a championship team is the offer is very high in terms of salary. I guess PAU is just letting the game come to him. Just being a Professional Basketball palyer.
