Are you talking about pinyin? Anyway, my LGT310i phone can type and read Chinese texts... it's still less than 2-months-old... further info. here:

pinyin are simplified ( as what i know ). I think newer phones are in simplified. usahay traditional cya nga characters, guess wala cya equivalent nga traditional. if interested message me.
