Mga tol unsa mani ang (Windows XP Media Center Edition) OS ni cya? f OS ni, unsa man ang diff. ani sa SP2?

OS pud na sya bai.. The difference is the media center are made because for the Entertainment Lovers, Like watching Movies, Music & Photos and other stuff envolving entertainment, But can also be use as a Normal PC office or gaming Use..

kanang SP2 is for update man na sa OS ng microsoft XP .. dili man na OS ang SP2 .. like ba sa for example... u buy a house then you notice your door is easy to open.. so u upgrade your door to become theft proof , that upgrade is the SP2 in windows xp..


This is only my own 1 centavo knowledge, Correction are welcome.... any input is appreciated.

^^As ronan said, The Media Center Edition is just Windows XP but with an added 'easy-to-use' interface (which can be controlled thru an MCE remote) that allows you to record and watch TV programs, watch DVD movies, listen to music, share photos... and etc.

The key ingredient of an 'MCE ready PC' is an MCE certified TV-tuner card so you can do your PVR and all that stuff...

With the right files you can transform it to WinXP Media Center though discussing about it would be illegal...

You can upgrade your XP SP2 to XP Media Center by repairing your current Windows OS with your Windows XP Media Center CD/DVD. But it is advisable if you reformat your drive and install a fresh copy of the OS.

yeah, fresh installation of windows media center is the best move since upgrade installation sometimes unreliable. Some existing applications/games won't work after upgrading. so i suggest to install a fresh copy bro...
