Display ra siguro ni... don't think Prius will be selling till maybe 2010.. 2009 if we're lucky....

I heard that they're still trying to convince government officials to lower the tax or give incentives for fuel efficient vehicles like the prius... so that the price tag can be lowered down and be made more affordable.

We are thinking of bringing our 2006 PRIUS here in Cebu but what worries us kay wala pai certified na technician diri sa Cebu that can accomdoate the PRIUS when it needs its TLC .

Same concept na bro , untill they can aford to send techs to Japan to get trained and certified to service the Prius , it will never be available to the consumers on top of its long list of people waiting for it . In the US alone last year , people are buying it more than Toyota can produce it tungod sa high cost of fuel ..

Mas nindot unta kung naay after sales product ang toyota to make their previous products promote Green environment. However, klaro naman pud kaayo nga ang Green Environment is not the company priority just like with any other car manufacturers. Kung importante pa na sa car manufacturers nga di mag pollute ang ilang cars, wala pa 'ta matao sa kalibutan nahimo na nila nga zero pollution ang mga cars considering dugay ra capable ang technology. Therefore, kining mga ing-ani nga promotion pang bulak bulak lang ni aron ingnon concerned sa environment.

Congress is still fighting para mo lower ang tax sa mga hybrid na vehicle. as of now if ipa gawas gyud gamay ra maka palit. dugay na gyud na nga technology pro kinanglan paman na testing. if u work on a japanese company bro makita gyud nimo na concern ang mga japanese manufacturer sa environment. ang mga american raman dili pro ang mga tao concern mao hinay na ang mga muscle cars or big engines na vehicle.

Actually the TOYOTA HYBRID PRIUS first came out in 2001 . Wala lang kaau mga tao na aware ani because at that time , the FUEL COST is CHEAP which is one of the reasons why the HYBRIDS existed on top of being ECO FRIENDLY .

From what I heard.. ang Parkmall man ang mag display sa unit for their grand opening.

Ilang theme kay environmental friendliness man,.. so ila gi hangyo ang toyota to display the prius.

Murag karon pa man ni nga decade nag start ang enviro-friendly nga trend... wala pa man ni sa 80s and 90s... tanawa ang documentary... "Who killed the electric car". Daghan conspiracy theorists nag ingon nga Big oil is in cahoots with the US automotive industry.. ambot lang kung tinuod ba na'.

Stop gap solution ra man sad na' ang hybrid... it only improves fuel efficiency pero it doesn't eliminate gas consumption.

I'm more interested in the plug-in hybrid nga gi test sa Toyota karon.... those use Lithium batteries ... without using the gas engine a prius is said to have a range of around 40miles (64km)... good enough for day to day use in the city... just plug it in at home and you're good to go...

Ang problema nasad ani sunod kay ang electric bill... pero it's cheaper than using gasoline..
