    Default How to TS 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address or "Limited or No Connectivity" Issue


    Mga Bro and Sis, Ive been facing this problem for as long as I can remember, and still I haven't found a way to resolve this problem permanently...well I have solved it by Luck at times but I am still wondering this unsa jud problema ane.......

    Wireless connections ug LAN, basta maka 169.xxx.xxx.xxx na IP add ug gateway na gai, nah mabuang najud ko unsaun....TABANG mga Bro....

    And Here are the things na ako na try to TS this prob:
    1. winsock reset
    2. "the good old" powercycle
    3. IP release and renew
    4. resetting the modem or router to its factory settings
    5. nakasuway pud ko gai ug unplug -replug sa mga wires
    6. delete ang existing connection sa wireless nya mucreate ug bag-o na connection
    7. uninstall and reinstall sa ethernet ug wireless adaptors sa device manager
    8. Lower down sa mga internet security, firewall ug antivirus
    9. Safe MOde w/ networking pud
    10. retype sa password kun wireless connection
    11. UG DAKDAK SA MODEM UG ROUTER....hehehehe jowk...

    169.xxx.xxx.xxx means dili pareha ug Subnet ang duha nimo ka computer.

    for wired (ethernet)

    *check cables
    *power cycle devices (modems)
    *disable/enable adapter
    *release/renew IP

    for wireless

    *enable/disable wireless adapter
    *disconnect/reconnect
    *power cycle devices (router)
    *release/renew IP


    so simple but if nothing works, that means that there's a problem with your ISP.
    Try calling your ISP.

    same troubleshooting steps...

    if walay mogana...dili na na imo computer bro...wait nalang ka nus a mo valid iya connection kay for sure sa outside connection nah...

    Kung 169 ga start imong IP address it means nga wala kay connection. Try sa una ug isolate ang problem kung modem ra gamiton nimu intermittent ba gihapon ang imong connection?

    it could be your modem/router... complain sa imo isp then have it replaced... 169.xxx.xxx.xxx means no or invalid connection so wala ka tagai ug IP (192.168.xxx.xxx) sa imo modem/router. check with isp.

    Sorry man but I can't read anything about isolating the problem regarding which box has an intermittent connection. Can you read it for me?
