the lens is great for its price... yan ang isa sa mga gamit ko. they say that it is not as sharp as the nikkor 70-200...

the price is right
good build
no hotspot when used on IR
not as heavy as nikkor
sharp enough for me

nice photos dj-dark!.. love the bokeh's!.. do you know a place/store where i can get this lens at cheaper price?. im also considering canon 70-200 f4 L. did you encounter any issues with your sigma lens?

this lens has great reviews on the net as what i have read.. been finding reviews on this since last month. its a sharp lens, fast auto focus and has a good build.. its worth its price at around 40k++...

thanks just encounter 1 issue...

when I was shooting at sinulog 11 am - 12 noon... sobrang init... suddenly the lens stuck... It doesnt AF, my shutter was stuck... I dont know what happens... my camera was so hot and even the lens...
I went to the shade area to change lens and to cool down... after a few mins I test the lens again and its was ok...

no issue been encounter after that...

I even shoot at aliwan festival here in manila and it was raining the lens was soaking wet... and still ok

i have read some threads about the sigma 70-200 f/2.8 has issues about IQ and you need to recalibrate it. is this true?

@smack_DOT: i guess the 70-200mm f4.0L USM would be better... The IS version even has a higher rating than the Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS USM...

O dont know about that issue... some says sigma is like a easter egg hunt lens... makaka tyamba ka talaga ng palpak...

in my case I own 3 sigma lens wala naman issue...
