as for me, i could only suggest one shop cause it is were our mechanic works,
it is at Banawa, good shepherd, u know the new Auto Focus branch?? dha dapita..
my skulmates beetle is still der, for fully restoration bai,. si noy toni, well, for me, they work
fine..

their is still many shops here that is reliable, so seek infos, and tips on the VWCS thread...

body repair alone is 80K, all in... apil ang chassis etc.
with the paint, more or less it depnds on wat u wanna "tira" on ur
car...

body repair depends on the condition of the body. ang paint if you want bbq style mga 85-90k cguro but if pang daily lang ang car pwede ra nato masabot.

budget depends on wat kind of restoration you want,

complete/detailed restoration like mga parts all NOS, exact part number it could reach 150t+ or more. Especially early beetle(pre67) Time and money gyd.

resto custom - combination of aftermarket and NOS maybe 100t or more. Modified for comfort in mind.

daily driver -kung nahan lng ka mo dagan and presentable. maybe 50t or more.

Suggestion lng try to concentrate on the mechanicals to make your ride dependable, safe and road worthy. There is no point in shiny new paint when you always get stuck in the middle of the road.

@ haidee: bitaw sakto si the saint that it would all depend on the kind of restoration. bitaw you should start first with the mechanical para dli ka ibilin sa road.
