Is it necessary to dress up the Sto. Niño with different costumes? Is this a way of adoring the "representation" of the child Jesus or is this unintentional mockery?

it was discouraged by the Catholic Church to dress up the Sto. Nino with other dress, the official should be the Red dress - the standard one, even the green Ninos are discouraged, but some Catholics still want their Sto Ninos to be unique...for me okay ra man pud as long as they have the faith in Sto. nino, it doesnt matter...
