Yeah...this pushy agent called me up in the office. He said there's a P30K check waiting for me in their branch. I told him I wasn't interested. I should have slammed the phone down on him but I didn't want to be rude, so I told him "fine, I'll get the check when I'm in the area", and I made that really clear to him. I never picked up the check, btw. When my credit card statement arrived, there was an entry for P30K PLUS interest. I went ballistic and called them up. The poor girl I talked to got two (2) whole earfuls from me for charging me P30K plus interest when their branch still has the check bec. I never picked it up. I told her that she should reverse the charges immediately or the bank was going to get a lawsuit within 2 days. I also told her that Citibank better get a handle on their outsourced agents peddling their products bec. its giving their bank a bad rep. Another example of this is that I keep getting calls from "Citibank" asking if I wanted a credit card, when I'm even a Founder Member, i.e., I've had Citibank credit card since 1989. So much for coordination. So now, while I still take calls from Citibank, I slam the phone down everytime someone claiming to be from "Citibank" tries to peddle me something.Originally Posted by Takamikim

Yeap! I already called the Citiphone and report this matter to them and they will reverse the transaction. I just told them that I will only pay the amount what I use and they should reverse the amount of the unauthorized transaction and if not then I'm not paying all the amount at all for good!
I also encounter problem with Citibank with my other card that charge me for $17 which I did not use and I called them up and they reverse the amount. For the second month, another $17 again was charge and again I report it to them and again reverse the amount. I'm still waiting for my next statement and see if another $17 will charge again.....
i suggest you find out who's making the charge, and you write Citibank and tell them not to honor the monthly $17 charge bec. you never purchased or authorized it, and this is probably someone who is using your card number illegally.Originally Posted by Takamikim

i still suggest that you write to CONFIRM their advise to you..it's so easy for the bank to deny that their customer service rep gave you verbal advice. this way, they can't deny later on in case they make a mistake in allowing the charge.Originally Posted by Takamikim

this is n0t good for citibank. i have citibank cards also but i never encountered this one yet.
