Every time I watch the evening news and there's an item on gas prices, I always get pissed off. The Manila prices indicate an average of P8.00 - P9.00 difference per liter. I know that the greedy oil cartels have an explanation (lame excuse) for this like delivery cost, etc. etc. I can accept a P2.00 - P4.00 difference, but the current disparity in prices is just outrageous and plain robbery.
My theory is that these companies (syndicates) take advantage of us Cebuanos and Central Visayas consumers because we allow them to abuse us and just accept any price they ram down our throat. In contrast, Metro Manila transport groups and consumer groups are united and are very vocal in their protest against oil price hike. They conduct demonstrations and public forums at the slightest hint oil price increase.
It's about time we do something.
Kung naa mo ideas or mga grupo nga concerned ani nga issue please post them here. Also voice out your opinions suggestions on what we can do individually and as a group so that makahibalo ang mga hangol nga oil companies nga dili pa daug daug ang mga bisdak!
There, I said my rant, I feel better now.
