Nagbabantang magboycott ang ilang mga doktor dahil sa sa isang provision ng Cheaper Medicine Bill na naglalamang tanging generic na gamot lamang ang pwedeng ireseta ng mga doktor na kung saan ayon sa PMA (Philippine Medical Association) na magkaiba ang epekto ng gamot na branded kaysa sa generic na gamot kahit pareho ng sangkap ang dalawang gamot, na kung saan mas pinipili ng mga ilang pasyente ang mga gamot na generic dahil sa mura ito ngunit sa kasamaang palad mahina ang epekto nitong magpagaling sa mga pasyente. At ayon kay Dr. Rey Melchor Santos VP ng PMA na iisipin ng mga pasyente na di magaling ang doktor dahil di nagrerespond ang gamot sa kanila dahil iba ang brand na binili nila.

Ok raman ang cheaper medicine bill. Ang gimando sa bill sa mga doctor is instead ang mga mahal na tambal ang iinclude sa reseta, iinclude nila apil unsay kaatbang na generic na tambal nga gireseta sa doctor. It's up to the buyer to decide which one he/she would buy. Unsa may naa ana? Mawad-an bag propesyon ang doctor ana tungod kay nireseta silag duha ka klase na tambal? Klaro lang jud kaau na gi dektaran sila sa mga pharmaceuticals company na eendorse ang mga mahalon nilang tambal instead of generic ones.

Pipila lang kaha ka doctors ang ni follow ani?For what I know doctors especially working in private hospitals are getting commission from Med reps and other phamaceutical companys just to sell thier products.Naa pa gani uban nga doctors nga ang ilang reseta makita lang gyud sa specific pharmacy ug wla sa uban.Okay lang man kung mo follow lang unta sila sa procedure sa pag reseta.

Murag pwede na ni e merge bro kay ang isa ka post murag center man to sa opposition ni garcia about this cheaper medicine bill.Ma pass na ni as law pero karon murag mga doctors ug Pharmaeutical companies namn ang gusto mo rally ani.this is an Issue of concern coz it involves all Filipinos,especially the poor.

Ang gimando raman sa bill bro is instead ang mahalon na tambal ra ang ibutang sa reseta, iinclude ang kaatbang na generic na tambal sa gireseta sa doctor. Bali duha na ka choices ang pwd piliion sa iyang patient na giresetahan. It's up to the patient na if mopalit ba siya atong branded or mopalit siya sa generic.

And also, based from the research, most developed countries are utilizing the generic than the branded ones.

I think the Cheaper Medicines Bill is a piece of legislation which we all need. After all, the price of medicines in other countries is relatively cheaper compared to ours because of some manipulation of multi-national companies on patents.

I guess the Legislature has come up with the solution to lower the price of our medicines through this piece of legislation. I just hope they can reconcile their seemingly apparent conflict to benefit the public.

as consumer let us support this cheaper medicines bill. i think only doctors only complaining this bill!
