Default win XP pro 64bit and windows vista

Hi guys, I just downloaded the trial version of winXP pro 64bit and after installing found it to be a 64bit version of XP pro service pack 1. Is there a 64 bit version of SP2? Have any of you tried this? What about windows vista(longhorn) beta 1, is that a server OS or is it going to be the official XP64bit release?
Please share with me some of the knowledge you guys have acquired on this subject

-AFAIK, there isn't a SP2 yet for Windows XP 64bit. You can't use the current WindowsXP 32bit SP2, for the 64bit

-Windows Vista (Client) will be the next upgrade from Windows XP. It will support both 32bit and 64bit (depending which flavor you get). Click here for more info: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...a_editions.asp

-The next upgrade of the current Windows Server 2003 is currently codenamed 'Windows Server Longhorn'. Click here for more info: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...orn/beta1.mspx

obemon, ang windows vista is formerly codenamed "longhorn", so I guess vista is for server as the newer version of windows 2003. However sa WinXP pro 64bit, ang una nako na setup, exactly the same as sp1, naa pa gyud sp1 naka display sa ubos sa desktop, nya yesterday naka dwnload ko from microsoft ug evaluation copy sa latest build, mura na ug sp2 with firewall/user changes but SP1 gihapon nakasulat sa ubos.

    Have you tried XP 64bit?

naa kay ka ila nga nag gamit ani?

My work is mainly audio, but na a na koy audio interface that supports 64 bit along with some apps nga 64bit ready so im trying this out. Faster beya mo load akong 64bit windows by about 5 sec. but wala pa sab tanang apps nataod

-This is taken strait from MS website:
"Windows XP Professional x64 Edition also includes the security features of Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) providing better protection against viruses, hackers, and worms, and includes Windows Firewall, Pop-up Blocker for Internet Explorer, and the new Windows Security Center. With Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, users can confidently run their most mission critical applications with increased reliability, security, and performance."

-Microsoft's upcoming operating systems (Client & Server) are both codenamed LONGHORN. It was only a few months ago that they announced that the Client version will be called Windows Vista (which will be the successor to Windows XP).

No name yet for the Server version. It's just called at the moment 'Windows Server Longhorn'. They might follow the same year pattern.. so something like Windows Server 2007 when they release it. God knows...
