Check sa if mas better of ka with your current dsl provider in your area since reliability of some dsl connections depend on areas. In some areas mas nindot ang PLDT myDSL, in some sad mas nindot ang Globelines Broadband.Originally Posted by Friend

Sir kryptos can you do something about PLDT dsl sa Escario St. kay ambot lang ang speed mas maayo pa ang dial-up
I think pldt can improve their service... because i have a case to point out on how pldt was able to improve the dsl service
My Uncle is a longtime subscriber of PLDT dsl, maybe he was even the first along escarion street to get the dsl. His plan is 1,995 a month. Since these were the early days of PLDT DSL the speed was only 512kbps. We all know now that 1,995 a month has a speed of 768kbps.
Well starting this year the service started to deteriorate. Before his kids use to play battlefield 2 and response time was acceptable. I too played battlefield 2 in their place and I love'd it. but starting June we couldn't connect at all because we get disconnected due to severe lag. Soon we didn't even try to play again with battlefield 2. My Uncle regularly uses skype and since skype can even work at 56kbps he was contented with it. But still it got worst. He couldn't even talk smoothly with skype so he did something you wouldn't even dare.....
I am not boasting here but this is what my uncle did.
My uncle and Napoleon Nazareno (you should know who this guy is, for those who don't know he is PLDT and SMART president and CEO, Nap Nazareno is a BISAYA in case people don't know)were classmates during college years and were good friends. My uncle has Nap Nazareno's cellphone number. They don't speak all the time but they talk once in a while. So one day he called Nap Nazareno and related the sorry state of their DSL service. I don't know how Nap Nazareno reacted but i think he was surprise of the poor service. And the result was the my uncle's connection that day reached 1.5mbps for 1 week so the this case shows that pldt can improve their service.
Right now my uncle's connection has returned to its earlier speed and would at times go below their speed plan.
So right now sir kryptos would you be able to improve the DSL service in Escario street.
really. kc all of my clients. ok nman ila connection.maybe its a a special case na inyo dha escario.well dont yet encounter dha sa inyo hinuon.im not frm pldt ha.jst based may comment on my experience regarding thier services with my clients.so far no problems with them.naa man gyud na lags usahay.but not always gyud.its my opinion lng.What man ila ingon pag anha nila sa inyo?
Maganda sana binigay nilang speed sa akin super bilis pero ang technical support nila ay nakakamatay. Parang binubulate ng isang kilo.
Akalain nyo po, December 10 pa kami nawalan ng internet connection and when we reported it to them for more or less 13 times, ito ang kanilang mga answers:
1. "wala naman sira dito sir sa amin, cge sir e follow up lang namin"
2. "sir, sa data net po yan, hindi namin alam kung kelan ma fifix nila yan po"
3. "sir, sa maynila po ang sira, wala kaming control dyan"
4. "sir, na forward na po ang report"
5. "sir, magpapadala kami ng specialist dyan ngayon sa cafe" (pero walang nagpakita kahit buhok ng specialist nila)
6. after couple of days, meron talagang dumating na PLDT personnel at ang sabi niya, "sir! bakit ako ang ipinadala nila?! e telephone line man ako, hindi dsl specialist! sir, bibigyan kita ng exclusive number ng dsl service para mabombahan mo sila, putik bakit ako ang pinadala"
7. (when my tita called to manila dsl hotline) "maam, sa cebu po ang mag asekaso nyan, sila po ang kontakin nyo"
8. (when my tita again called the cebu dsl hotline) "maam, sa manila po ang mag asekaso nyan, sila po ang kontakin nyo"
9. (when my uncle called them) "sir, meron talaga sira, almost all subscribers in cagayan walang connection din, at dito sa cebu some cafes dont have also. sir, hindi namin alam kung kelan mafifix."
10. "sir, ano po ang sira?" (they have asked this many times when they called me first, i dont if those people there dont know how to write down a memo in order for the other to know or be informed...)
11. Sometimes I called but no one answers. Music lang ang mag answer sa iyo for how many minutes kahit matulog ka pa po.
12. (when my tita called yesterday late afternoon) "maam, ok na po ang internet nyo, matagal na po yang na fix, try to check po( pero hindi nila alam na nagmomonitor/nagchecheck kami every hours every morning kung naibalik na ba ang connection. Hahay, nagsisinungaling pa, haha)
Sayang lang ang ibinigay nilang magandang internet speed sa akin dahil still I can say "now" that they have the worst technical support I have ever met. Hope their management shall change that attitude of them for it will go to the point of scarcity of their target market.
Ang laki pa naman ng banners nila sa cafe ko dito po "Powered by PLDTmyDSL" Hi-Velo Internet. Pati customers namin ay napapangitan na sa image nila, gusto pa nga nilang tawagan para sila na ang mag report at magreklamo. Nawawalan na ako ng customers dahil sa kakapangit ng technical support service nila.
Hahay, buhay pldt ay nakakamamatay, hehe.
So im planning now to change to another ISP. Which could you advise or suggest?
Well, sori to hear that.basta kami well much contented with pldt ryt now.hope we wont experience like that.
I/m not sure about Globe. I have friend whos having trouble now after 1 week of subscription. He disconnect always when infact he is near the cabinet of globe.
hmmmmmmm, yan din ang sabi ko dati when i was within 1 to 2 years as subscriber of them. imagine, 512kbps ni apply ko pero i got 1mb speed in PLDT MyDSL before, no boasting, ganda noh? hehehe. pero patay ako sa technical support. ne significant information man lang if there are problems or other salient matters about the line they cant give. yes, i will hope against my hope that you my friends here who are still subscribing the PLDT MyDSL wont experience what I experienced.Originally Posted by kryptos
