Default Why are you asking me? I never told you to build airplanes in the first place

I was having a hard time figuring out what went wrong with my assembled rig yesterday.
So many thoughts running inside my head, so many what if, maybe this, maybe that.

Then suddenly, some sort of silly thought made me pause for a while.
That silly thought is not about computers, it's about God.
I don't know why it popped up in the middle of my last resort calculations trying to make the PC work. Maybe my brain's popup blockers need an upgrade.

So this is my little story, sort of…

Out of nowhere, I was thinking about a plane crash and how the relatives of those victims grieved over the loss of their loved ones. At one point, some may even ask God why of all people it happened to their father or brother.

    Not just airplanes and crashes.
It could be vehicular accidents involving a reckless driver and a lady cruising down the highway at normal speed, or a deranged man out in the streets shooting innocent people.

Just about any news we hear everyday.

Enough being said for that introduction, we go back to the time of creation, or at least that’s what we were told that God created man out of his own image and likeness. Since we don’t have enough time to debate whether it’s really evolution or not, let’s just stick to this topic.

In prehistoric times there were no computers and airplanes and super weapons.
Man either dies from a wild animal attack, from a natural disaster, from old age, or simply by being careless and trying to make it five rounds in one hour.
There were no reported cases of cancer in those times (well, if there was indeed some rare cases of cancer, there was nobody around to write it down).

There were caves and thick forests for shelter, fruits, berries and little animals for food, water in the streams and occasional bear attacks to neutralize things a little bit. There are also volcanic eruptions and earthquakes for those who wants a little excitement.

But all in all, they were just natural events, never a large scale human intervention.
Old people die of old age, not old AIDS. In those times, steady was not spelled as STD.
There were no cases of conjoined twins or abnormal births because there were still no powerful chemicals to disrupt the DNA structure of the fetus or the mother’s genes. No exposure to radioactive rays, chemical spills and preservatives.

    Death comes naturally.
If ever a hunter dies from an animal attack it’s his own fault, the villagers don’t ask their stone idols why it happened.
There were no trucks to hit you if you cross the foot path without looking left and right. No electricity to fry you if you’re not careful. You’d be lucky enough to be hit by a lightning strike.

Then man learned how to cook food and tame cattle. He learned farming and raising livestock. Of course, we also have to mention he learned to make weapons and tools for hunting down deer and buffalo. Later on he realized he could use it to hunt other people from other tribes. Then after many many years, he began using weapons to attack other countries. In a small scale, there are others who use weapons to kill somebody who is not willing to give up their cell phones.

So, if we were to analyze this carefully, we should be ashamed of ourselves if we ask God why this and that happened. The 9/11 attack for example, I’m sure many families were asking God why it happened. But have we ever took a moment to ponder if God is indeed involved in all these incidents? In early times, the only terrorist attacks known to men are wild army ants and a swarm of bees. Flash floods were unheard of when forest trees were still around to absorb the rain.

I’m not saying I won’t be sad and grieved over the loss of a loved one.
But I’m sure I won’t be asking God unless He owes me an explanation.

After a brief pause, I said to myself, if there is a God, then maybe He might have reasoned out “Why are you asking me? I never told you to build airplanes in the first place?”

well, your story is too long to read so ill just reply blindly. haahha.

have you ever though if there was really a god?. what if there was really no god and everything happens just because it has to happen. and the plane crash because there was some mechanical failure or a bad weather, pilot error and god has really nothing to do with it cause he is really not there have you ever thought of that?.

"time hinders everything from happening at once"

to "reply blindly" is just the same as posting your message in the wrong section.

I've read the long and winding story, its nice in its own way.. and I agree with it.

But some people will always say, if you'll allow me to quote Al Pacino in the movie "Devils Advocate" - Your GOD is an absentee landlord"
