Who is this Ms. Money Magnet and may Seminar siya for only P250? Owss?

I've heard about John Calub, that money magnet seminars, the rumors, accusations and all about negative things about his past seminars, of course my good points din but the way i analyzed the reports, it seems that he is more on advertising and convincing you to attend his other seminars and that means you'll have to pay more. Di ba dapat dahil nagbayad ka, straight to the point ang discussion at hindi dapat para kang binibrainwash na umattend ka ng iba pa nyang mga seminars with matching discounted tricks that if you pay now, ganito nalang ang price at kung anu-ano pa?


Now, recently, napadaan ako sa CAP building (harap ng Jolibee at MC Donalds dyan sa Jones) kung saan may tarpaulin na nakapost about Moneyfest Seminar to be conducted by Money Magnet Philippines daw sa katauhan ni Gelyn Villanueva. Tonight daw yan sa CAP bulding, 6 to 10 pm ang entry fee is P250. This lady is mentored daw by John Calub daw. ( oh that guy again? ) hehehe...


Anything to say about this lady? Or may nakaattend na sa seminars niya? O baka magbabayad na naman ang mga tao at madisappoint lang o di kaya makarinig ng pangungumbinsi na umattend na naman ng ibang seminars? Ms. Money Magnet Philippines agad siya? I mean walang ibang contender, siya talaga ang titulo agad-agad? hahaha

I would like to comment in a general perspective rather than on the above-mentioned seminar.

Red flags about those seminars, coaching, business, groups, etc:

* when they show those eye-popping $$$, cars, houses, gadgets, etc. on their marketing campaigns
* when they make a promise that something good will happen to you if you join with them
* when they offer low prices for the initial seminar when in fact they intend to upsell more products
* when they claim their method is the only secret you will ever need to be successful

A good test is to ask ourselves if this is how an ethical business should be done. IMO, the mere purpose here is to exploit human weaknesses called by the psychologists as biases. If this subject is taught at school in a more practical way, people will be more equipped when it comes to the decision-making process, as opposed to the common practice of teaching it the theoretical way (no offense intended to those teaching this subject). Because of these biases, we become more emotional rather than being rational. Have you heard Legacy? Aman Group? Every now and then we hear scams from one corner of our country to another. People who got scammed are managers, bankers, the professionals in general. We have no match against these adept scammers; the reason lies in our weaknesses inherent in us as human beings. Human behavior does not change, only the characters (the people) who will become the next victims. I think the best protection against ignorance is awareness.
