    Lightbulb question regarding exercise

    Just wondering...
I dont have time for exercise... and it just so happens that I'm free (finally) this weekend. Is it alright to exercise for 1 whole day?.. provided na I take in proper amounts of water and food..?Will this probably help lose weight? or i'll just gain it back plus more after? is it alright to this once a month?

I'm planning to avail sa 1day package sa Cebu Holiday gym (kanang tig.P250).. kanang use sa pool, the equipment, jog, wallclimbing, etc but not lift weights tho..

has anyone ever done this? can anyone share their insights/experiences? I cant find much reading material on it..

well, now I found some articles.. quite a read though. These are from Medscape: Free CME, Medical News, Full-text Journal Articles & More
and are quite difficult to read but I will highlight some of the statements from studies done regarding strenuous exercise...

"In summary, our findings suggest that an effective public health policy for preventing weight gain may need to include a strategy to keep physically active men and women active. They also suggest that it might also be important to minimize exercise variation. Prior guidelines have focused almost exclusively on promoting physical activity among the sedentary. However, the benefits of such advocacy may be transitory unless activity is maintained consistently without extended interruption. Our analyses suggest that the weight gain from becoming inactive may not be reversible simply by resuming prior activity. When the priority of regular exercise changes because of obligations to family and work, the temptation to forgo activity must be countered by the knowledge that the benefits gained by being active are not readily reclaimed. The leanness dividend from investing in exercise may be forever lost, or only reclaimed at a considerably greater effort than simply sustaining a minimum level of vigorous exercise equivalent to running 16 km·wk-1."

umm. apparently, tis better to have a regular regimen than to have a very erratic one... so, probably going on a one day "bootcamp" might not be a very good idea.. as the study suggests anyway.

I've done a LOT of reading for the past hour and have come to conclude that a one day bootcamp (aka. suliton ang 1 day package sa gym) might not be the brightest idea after all. I'd really like to say a lot of things but Im falling behind studying.. so far this is article, among many, has helped...
