Thread: Discrimination?

    Default Discrimination?

Recently I read through a call center company policy requiring all employees to have a dress code. And on the same company policy guideline handbook it also mentions that they do not allow any form of discrimination with-in the company and that includes discrimination against a person's sexual orientation.

My question is this... do you think these two separate company policy guidelines are conflicting or not in relation to people of different sexual orientations because most of them wanted to enjoy cross-dressing. And as far as i know it is also a human right that has not been fully accepted or embraced by some companies.

As for the BPO industry, don't you think they should allow this right to be practiced without prejudice since customers could not see what agents are wearing because it is only confined to voice related transactions?

Let me hear your different opinions my friends... Thank you.

If you think prohibiting Male to dress like a Female is discrimination of sexual orientation, then you haven't fully understand what discrimination is.

My answer is no, these two are not conflicting if you truly understand this guidelines and what professionalism is.

there are always rules and codes . . .
To abhor un-professionalism is not to descriminate.
