Phil. Star Publisher Max Soliven died Friday at a hospital in Tokyo, Japan this morning.

Soliven was officially pronounced dead at 11:26 a.m. (Tokyo time) of cardiac arrest at the Narita Red Cross Hospital, consul Gina Jamoralin of the Philippine embassy in Tokyo told INQ7.net in a phone interview.

not too long ago, i met him when my dad n i got introduced to him by dad's columnist friend. i got starstruck. i always read his column first sa phil star. sad.

while he was one of the best columnist writers in his time, he had also written some articles that did more harm and good for the country and some were even obviously baseless. such as the recent and controversial CICC issue.

he may had been a topnotch writer per se but doubts can definitely be seriously raised as to his motive thus affecting his integrity. it only takes one, not even two.
