1. Plug an external hard drive into any open USB port on the computer, or power the computer down if you will be cloning your first hard drive to a secondary internal hard drive.
2. Step 2
   Remove the cables from the back of the computer case. Set the case on its side with the left panel facing up. Use the screwdriver to pull out the case screws on the top and bottom ends of the panel. Push down on the panel and slide it entirely off the case.
3. Step 3
   Slide the internal hard drive into an open drive bay inside the computer. Connect one of the SATA cables running from the original hard drive into the new hard drive and then attach the screws that hold the drive into the bay. Press the plastic jumper clip on the back of the hard drive into the "Slave" setting.
4. Step 4
   Put the panel back on the case and reattach the screws. Plug the cables back into the case and turn the computer on. Wait for the operating system to finish loading, and then close down every program you have running, including any anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall programs.
5. Step 5
   Open the Norton Ghost program by double clicking on its desktop icon. Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click on the button labeled as "Clone."
6. Step 6
   Choose the location of the first hard drive you want to clone from the drop-down menu at the left. Choose the location of the new hard drive from the drop-down menu at the right.
7. Step 7
   Click on "Next" and then click on "Run" to clone the first hard drive's contents onto the second hard drive.

try Acronis True Image... very straightforward ang process.. look it up on the web..
