Rock stars from the 80's , 90's o karun?
in what area man imo comparison?
rock music has evolved and will continue to evolve. rock bands influence other rock bands and so forth.
e.g. Led Zep, Deep Purple, The Who of the 70's influenced the 80's - 90's band like GNR, Def Leppard, etc... From the 80's & 90's hard rock and metal music other people wanted an alternative hence came the Alternative music and Grunge w/c has also greatly influenced music today.
mas nindot jud ang 80's to the early 90's nga mga band. wlay labot ang alternative ha.....
i can't really pinpoint a certain era because even today there are some great bands and even back then there are crappy bands..
sauna bitaw in the 70s the rockers were tired of long jams and disco hence punk was born which evolved to new wave and post punk later on.
in the 80's college fans were tired of the pretentious arena rock and so the college rock sound was born which later on termed alternative rock.
alternative rock in all its incarnations became famous in the 90s and was commercialized and people wondered why its still called "alternative", so they recorded lo-fi versions of it which became "indie rock".
karun ky uso na kaayo and pop punk, emo, metalcore, and the likes. i wonder what the kids would come up with to counteract. pero one thing i noticed today ky young people no longer react man but eat anything the media offers or di gani they tend to like whatever their peers or the community they belong to likes... (ex. if ur in the mainstream society and everybody loves jonas brothers and miley cyrus, u automatically love them and u hate bright eyes even if u only heard one song because ur friends hate them. but if u belong to the indie community, u automatically love anything indies and start name dropping obscure bands and u hate jonas brothers even though u only heard one song)
just my opinion though...
