Can this be considered sukob?

hello im a newbie here.
i registered on this forum just to get ideas from you. my problem is this,im planning to have my engagement late this year and my brother was married last june. is this considered sukob? please i need your advice. i planned to marry next year. thanks in advance...

i already asked their permission about the engagement but then they told that its not gud to have 2 transactions in a year.

If we follow the movie which bears the same name, Sukob is a curse that comes when family members get married in the same year which will bring misfortune to the family.

It is a lame superstition the effects of which are over-exaggerated by the film.

yes its a belief but im witness to it. i have 2 uncles they were married at the same year. the other one is separated the other is not. i dont know if its due to the curse or what ever.im realy confused right now.
