gud question bai...
ambit ko ani..
i thought bad sectors was because of bad hardware. the physical wear and tear of the platter in the harddrive. well if anyone hass a solution let us know. thats a good question tho
it can not be fixed anymore if the hardisk having a bad sector because it is an internal error in a hardware try to search it for more info ok .....
you cant repair "physical" bad sectors... but you can LIST this sectors in a special defect table so that it would not anymore read/write in that area thus prevents your HARDDRIVE to crash once more and multiply problems. Unfortunately, only professional softwares can actually do the task of rebuilding / adding a new table of defects.
Logical bad sectors are sectors in which an error occured when writing/reading on the area.
Kung ganahan mo ma wipe out ug ma condition inyo harddisk, i-drop lang na sa shop sa aton amigo RUELNOV naa sa specialty services iyang thread.

yes, not a single utility in the website of HDD manufacturers can deal with physical bad sectors or other serious HDD probs like "not detected in BIOS", "cannot be formatted/partitioned", etc.
why?
special factory commands are needed so u can switch the HDD to factory mode and give u access to the firmware area on the platter/ROM, etc. & allow u to remap physical defects, etc.
and to be able to use these factory commands properly & effectively, u need years of study to understand the structure of the firmware zone in each HDD model & brand, else u end up screwing up ur HDDs.

ive tried HDD Reg. it doesnt fix all of the defects. only 30% was fixed.
defects on my hdisk is 2.3% damage (based on HD TUNE 2.52). i think it needs an expert to do this. thanks sa inyong mga tubag.
SPINRITE sucks.... try running SPINRITE and it may say problems were fixed.. then try running it again.. DID those problems that were detected and repaired earlier, gonecome to realize of that fact...
HDD Regenerator doesnt really reliably fix errors... it does fix, yup thats right. But only things that a small program have memorized to do.
It's still better to have it fixed by RuelNov... hehe
you really dont need years, all you need is brains and google and know how of what you are doing.. sa mga tao like me nga dili hibaw we seek help from others like you ^_^
