Biography:

Graduated Salutatorian from High School at Christ the King Academy in Antequera, Bohol. Graduated Surveying from CIT in 1962 Graduated BSCE from CIT in February 1968. First Place in Civil Engineering in February of 1968, 2nd Place in Geodetic Engineering in September of 1968.
Worked for ITT Philippines in Makati from 1969 to 1972. Moved to San Francisco and worked for Teleprompter for a year, then worked as Civil Engineer at Bechtel up to 1978. Moved to Brown & Root in 1978 to 1984 as a Senior Civil Engineer. Got my California Professional Civil Engineers License in 1982. In 1985, I was the Project Engineer for a Garbage Incinerator for the City of Long Beach, California, by Dravo International. Finally, moved to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) as a Civil Engineer and retired in 2010. Projects designed and Engineered were Mining and Metals, Refineries and Nuclear Power Plants at Bechtel, Coal Powered Power Plants and Geothermal Power Plant at Brown & Root, Waste-to-Energy Power Plant at Dravo and Freeway Design at Caltrans. Responsible for the Approach Loop (arrival & departure ramps) at the San Francisco International Airport. Also did Freeway design and Oversight projects during my term at Caltrans. My small projects were Subdivision design including grading, utilities and Hydrology and also did plan check for several subdivisions. I covered almost all aspects of Civil Engineering work except Bridges and High rise structures. I am now retired and blessed with my wife (CLS) and 2 grown-up boys.
