Sunlight gives a seamless experience, starting from the airport with Sunlight Air and continuing to the Sunlight Resort.

Getting There
We traveled from Cebu to Busuanga onboard Sunlight Air. Upon arrival at the Busuanga Airport, We went to the Sunlight Lounge to wait for the Shuttle to take us to Sunlight Resort Coron, where we will then transfer for a boat ride to Sunlight Ecotourism Island Resort (SETIR).

SETIR is nestled in Culion, Palawan, and is an unparalleled destination that offers pure relaxation and breathtaking views. Sitting across the 18-hectare island are 99 Maldives-inspired villas, a wide variety of restaurants, and world-class amenities and facilities that cater to every traveler's needs.

Villas
SETIR's seven villa categories are designed with comfort and luxury in mind to ensure guests enjoy an unforgettable stay. Each villa has spacious design elements that harmoniously blend with the natural surroundings.


We stayed at one of the Studio Villas, which is quite spacious. It allowed us to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature throughout the day.


Birds often visit our balcony, which we always look forward to. We also love the sound of the birds chirping. Sometimes, at night, we hear the hoot of an owl.


Activities
Guests enjoy outdoor activities surrounded by nature's beauty, which we did. Activities include guided snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, island hopping, and more. We spaced the activities throughout our stay to savor the Sunlight Experience.

Going around the island and riding the bike is one activity we love. Aside from it being an exercise, it lets us enjoy the fresh air as we breeze along the streets.


Guided snorkeling is advisable. Though putting on a snorkel and mask and swimming is easy, there are advantages to having a guide. The guide showed us spots where to find the clown fish, where the sea turtle usually swims, and where the giant clams are.


After many activities, we pampered ourselves with a relaxing massage at the Sanctuary Spa and capped the night as we sang to our heart's content in one of their spacious KTV rooms at the Ocean Wave KTV.

Dining
As for dining, the island resort also has ten diverse dining outlets guests can enjoy, from comfort Filipino cuisine to international dishes. Daily breakfast at the Sun Cafe. Lunch at Hikari and enjoyed Japanese cuisine. We also had dinner at the Mangrove and ate some delicious Filipino dishes. We also had an arranged dinner by the beach. To complete the dining experience, guests can also delight in refreshing cocktails, SETIR's craft beers, premium wines, spirits, and cigars in the resort's cellar.

Other Amenities
SETIR also has a well-equipped gym with majestic ocean views, function rooms, a garden walk, an infinity pool, a playground for children at the Kid's Connection, and a souvenir shop.

Island Hopping
On our last day on the island, we went on an island-hopping tour. Coron is known for its shipwrecks, vibrant corals, and a wide array of marine life.


We visited the Twin Lagoon, Coral Garden, Banul Beach for lunch and Kayangan Lake.

For Kayangan Lake, get ready for an exercise to climb up to the viewing deck and go down to the lake itself multiplied by two for the round-trip experience.
