      During the 2022 pandemic, Andre Lim Astilla, the creative mind behind Dogueros, ventured into his culinary journey. He began by launching his online food store. Despite the pandemic hurdles, his business flourished, drawing in a dedicated customer base who loved his unique dishes.

      As pandemic restrictions eased and businesses reopened, signaling a return to everyday life, people cautiously resumed their activities. Encouraged by the consistent demand from his devoted customers for his delicious Mexican food, Astilla bravely decided to open his physical store, a bold move that marked a big step in his culinary journey.

      Cali Carne Burrito

      This Mexican dish mixes meat, rice, cheese, and a variety of vegetables, creating a truly satisfying, creamy, balanced flavor.


      Birria Taco

      Birria Taco has flavorful meat mixed with spices, giving it a tasty and slightly spicy taste that we couldn't resist and finished as soon as it arrived at our table.


      Taco de Cerdo

      The meat is juicy and tender, sprinkled with fresh ingredients such as onions, salsa, and veggies, which give a delicious and satisfying flavor combo.

      Unique Ambiance

      Dogueros Mexican Cantina offers a street-style dining experience with a unique twist. The ambiance reflects Mexican street culture, featuring unconventional materials like a container van, chairs made from cans, and tables repurposed from stools, creating a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

      What sets Dogueros apart from other eateries is its innovative approach to traditional dishes, tailored to suit the varied palates of the locals in Cebu. Their recipes have been adapted to better resonate with the community. Take, for example, their Birria taco, a classic Mexican dish usually made with beef. To make it more budget-friendly for Cebuanos, they substituted pork for beef while maintaining the authentic cooking process.
