The Creation of Baked by K
Kristine Joyce Cruz, the creative mind behind Baked by K, began her baking journey with croissant dough; however, it was challenging since she was baking at her own house with limited equipment. Since 2014, she has collected many recipes in her notebook and wants to share her creations over time.
After opening her bakery, she started creating new desserts, expanding her range of pastries over the years. The business encountered difficulties amid the pandemic; just like many businesses during the COVID-19 crisis, it came close to shutting down.*
Kristine nearly lost her business permanently, but she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue sharing her amazing pastries with others.
Inspired by the Filipino bakery Kora in New York, Kristine continues experimenting with flavors that genuinely capture her customers' tastes.
