Last year’s pageant made its way all over the Cebu. Its Philippine Terno Competition was in Argao, its Swimsuit Gala Night was in the Grand Convention of Cebu, and its Femme Fatale: Evening Gown Competition was in SM Seaside City Cebu. The Coronation Night was at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. The candidates were graced in designs by Cary Santiago and the grand stage was designed by Kenneth Cobonpue.
This year’s pageants will begin with the presentation of candidates on August 24. The Terno Competition is going to be on September 7. The Swimsuit Competition is going to be on September 28. Ultimately, the Coronation Night is going to be on October 26 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Evidently, the pageant does not end during the coronation night. Several outreach activities were organized by the Binibining Sugbu Charity Foundation, Inc. after last year’s event. Candidates visited evacuation centers in Ormoc City, responded to the fire that broke out in Barangay Pasil in January, and donated cash and relief goods to the residents of Marawi. Aside from beauty, Cebuanas also take part in social and humanitarian advocacies.
Women who believe that they embody the virtues of today’s Cebuana may visit the Binibining Cebu office at The Greenery. An entry form is also available on www.binibiningcebu.com and should be submitted to info@binibiningcebu.com by August 1. Applicants should be naturally-born female citizens who are 5’4” and above. Applicants must also be 17 years old on or before August 1.
