Cebu City’s incumbent Mayor Michael Rama intends to continue his mission for this city by vying for a third term. He plans to continue what he has done for the city during the said term, including the ongoing projects he has started.
Under the party UNA (United Nationalist Alliance), Team Rama, headed by Mayor Michael Rama, together with Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella who is also a reelectionist, explained their platform for this upcoming elections.
They plan to help the economic growth of Cebu by being globally competitive. They have vowed to support the Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board (MCDCB) which will serve as a way for Local Government Units (LGU) to partner with private sectors and be able to come up with combined projects and programs. They seek to enhance the economic growth of Cebu by being globally competitive in the city’s innovations and being sustainable with the cooperation of public and private sectors.

Team Rama’s party list members are former Mayor Alvin Garcia for North District congressman, along with bets for councilors are Ramil Ayuman, Pastor “Jong” Alcover, Edwin Jagmoc, Joel Garganera, and Edgardo “JP” Labella, Jr.

For the South District, Councilor Gerardo Carillo is running for congressman, together with other candidates for the South District, including councilors David Tumulak, Hanz Nendell Abella, and James Cuenco; former city councilors Jose Daluz III, Jocelyn Pesquera, Eduardo Rama, Renato “JunJun” Osmeña Jr., and Lutherlee “Lot-Lot” Ignacio-Soon.

On the other hand, Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) continues to be a strong force in the 2016 elections. Mayoralty candidate Tomas Osmeña seeks to reclaim his seat as Mayor of Cebu City after losing against the incumbent mayor last May 2013. He seeks to pursue his plans for the city such as increasing educational assistance to beneficiaries in scholarships and the implementation of programs for the senior citizens. Running as Vice Mayor in their party is the incumbent councilor Nestor Archival.

Along with Congressman candidate Raul del Mar, here are their running mates; North District Councilors are Alvin Arcilla, Alvin Dizon, Sisinio Andales, Nina Cabrera, Mary Ann De los Santos, Tejero Barangay Councilor Garry Lao, Banilad Councilor Malou Tabar, as well as former Vice Mayor Joy Young.
