Just because someone doesn’t love you
the way you want them to,
doesn’t mean they don’t love you
with everything they have.

Like all sweeping assertions that brush aside exceptions with a broad stroke of pen, this too must be taken with a pinch of salt.

It only means that the person who falls short of your expectations in love, may also be loving you but in their own way, but projecting a wrong image because of their failure to openly express and exhibit their love either due to their innate nature or due to their mistaken priorities in life.

For example, there are people who are like Jackfruits — all thorny outside but overly sweet inside. It is their nature. It is very difficult to change them.

There are also people who slog and sweat to give a cushy and comfortable life to their families they love dearly by devoting much of their attention to job or business forgetting that the families need the company of their personal, quality time more than material comforts they try to provide.

Expectations blinds us.
It's like when someone doesn't love you the way you expect them to, you feel that person doesn't love you at all. You start doubting the love they have for you. But that's merely an illusion covered with your expectations. They just love you, but just not in the way you expect them to.
