Thoughts and Predictions On Ridley Scott's Upcoming Film "Prometheus"

You'll probably think this is a leak, but I assure you it is not. This is going to be my own prediction or guess on what the plot of Prometheus (yes, the up and coming "Alien-Prequel-that-is-not-a-prequel" movie) will be.
First, let's search for the meaning of the word:
(from Wikipedia)
In Greek mythology, Prometheus (Ancient Greek: Προμηθεύς, "Forethinker") is a Titan, the son of Iapetus and Themis, and brother to Atlas, Epimetheus and Menoetius. He was a champion of mankind, known for his wily intelligence, who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals. Zeus then punished him for his crime by having him bound to a rock while a great eagle ate his liver every day only to have it grow back to be eaten again the next day.
Based on this description of Prometheus in Greek mythology, I think I know why Scott keeps saying that the plot of his new movie is "epic, grand, thought-provoking and insightful" and will be about the nature of our presence and existence in the universe.
So without further ado, here is my guess:
The plot will revolve around a race of aliens (god-like) who accidentally (or deliberately?) leave open a "petri-dish" of chemicals (DNA/RNA?) and this brew is "stolen" by one of their kind, and used for various "And-let-there-be-life!" experiments around their local system in space. This "experimentor" alien is then discovered by his people, and they decide he's doing something "outlawed", and thus he is punished, and sent to earth for banishment (perhaps just about time for the Cambrian explosion?).
Unbeknownst to the aliens, the "experimenter" carried with him hidden packets of the brew, releases it into the pre-Cambrian earth, and VOILA...life on earth, as we know it begins...
Now...millions of years later, spacefaring humankind discovers the identity of this "experimentor" and decides to track down where it came from...

Now humans (like sexy Cherlize Theron pictured above hehe) will confront and be face-to-face with the master race, the source of all life...it will be like meeting the gods...or more rather like, sentient bacteria (us) trying to talk to a lab tech in a lab coat (the master race)...and the tech is reaching for the blowtorch to obliterate the germs...
Now honestly, I would probably be actually disappointed if THIS WAS the plot--because this was already tackled by the Robotech/Macross saga...
(from wikipedia)
In both the fictional Macross and Robotech continuities, a massive alien spaceship, 1210 meters (3,970 feet) long, crashes onto an unsuspecting Earth in the year 1999, on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
In Macross, the island is called South Ataria Island, and is located at the extreme end of the "Ogasawara Island chain". In the Robotech Universe the island is known as Macross Island and is located in an unspecified area in the South Pacific. Inspection of the wreckage reveals that the spaceship was manned by giant aliens many times larger than humans and that their technology is centuries and probably millennia beyond that of Earth...
...don't you think? Only that the ship in Prometheus would've arrived during the Cambrian period instead of the present day.
Almost the same plot-flow with 2001: A Space Odyssey, only that "Prometheus" in that film is the Black Monolith, and it appears on the earth sometime during the time of Australopithecus Robustus/Africanus.
So why am I insisting on comparing Prometheus with Macross/Robotech? Simple, check the Prometheus Movie poster...
Hmmm...a giant head? Might be cashing in on the public's (somewhat silly) fascination with Easter Island heads and other ancient world giant heads (i.e. Sphinx, Olmec heads in Central America etc....naa dyud raba mga ing-ana ang huna-huna diri sa iStorya.net forum re "ancient astronauts" hahaha)...
...and in Robotech, the Zentraedi were indeed HUGE.
Oh and our friendly-neighborhood "experimentor" alien here, is none other than, of course...code named..."Prometheus" And take note, Geiger made him HUGE in the original Alien film (Scott had to use his OWN children in spacesuits to make the "space jockey" look even bigger)--I rewatched it a few hours ago, and this guy is really really grand.
It's interesting to point out that this line "...while a great eagle ate his liver every day only to have it grow back to be eaten again the next day..." can actually be used as a plot device/vehicle to emphasize the fact that HUMANKIND NEVER SEEMS TO GET OVER KILLING ITS OWN KIND...it's like we NEVER really prosper over the fact that we seem to enjoy killing each other off. This can perhaps be explained by the fact that the "flavor" of the DNA/RNA combo inserted into the primordial earth is "cursed" to try and kill itself--a programming done by the Master Race, to ensure that humankind NEVER attempts to trace it origins...but hehehe, we've become evolved enough that we STILL managed to get there!
Now how's that for a prediction?
