I'm going on a week-long vacation around various places Mindanao, to area that has suffered bombings, mortar and artillery attacks, IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices) planted under bridges, and even an earthquake recently. Sure feels good to get back home again.

6pm...got to go home now. It has been a stressful day for me. I packed some things to be done at home since it would be a long vacation. Finally, I would have the much needed vacation that I need.
Christmas has always been my favorite holiday ever since I was a kid. I look forward to it every single time. As I rode the jeepney on my way home, I can't help but notice some kids who are busy caroling even inside the jeepney, These few days, I have been busy finishing for the dreaded deadlines ...

Due to my own stubbornness and lack of initiative, I failed to book a ticket to get back home to Mindanao for the holidays--the airlines and the shipping companies get booked up pretty fast in the last few days before the 24th--so now here I am, stuck in Cebu City, all by myself, on Christmas.

I'm planning just to stay in my little room and maybe just do a movie marathon, clean/repair my airsoft gear, and read books. It ain't that bad, my GF still calls me on the phone everyday so ...

I used to think Filipinos living and working out of the country are being a tad bit OA and incredibly fussy and noisy everytime I heard them talk about how they miss Snowbear, utap, bulad, masaryal, hipon, ginamos, and you get the idea. It did not occur to me that if I had cravings for any particular local dish when I'm in my home country, why couldn't my countrymen outside of my country? So of course now I know I was dead wrong.

Anyway, I had a craving for real Filipino dish a couple ...

2008 is almost closing its doors and we welcome in the new year. It got me to thinking what future lies ahead...
But still, I have a lot of reasons to give thanks to year 2008..
most of all my family who are always supportive of my every decision. my career, my love of my life.. and all the people who cares and loves me...

I saw the remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film "The Day the Earth Stood Still" last night.
