I was still living in Bukidnon when the massacre in Ipil happened. I didn't know what to feel or how to feel about it then, and I don't know how to feel about this massacre either. How do you deal with something you don't understand? How do you make sense of something you can't grasp?
As I get older, I feel more helpless about things going on in the world around me. Apparently, millions are being butchered in Darfur? Apparently, there are wars and all kinds of violence going on around the world? What CAN we do? Nothing.

WOW! i really feel for you.. I was living in Iligan for 13 years and moved hear in Cebu about 6ish years ago. I could remember when I was a kid seeing "tora-tora's" flying high above and hearing the explosions of "kanyons" while i was playing with my childhood friends.

And after I have heard and seen the news/photos it saddens me that it happened but ended up saying to myself that it is "normal" in a sense for me. I'm not being apathetic or anything it's just me being "used to" hearing this kinds of problems and issues.

I am actually an avid reader of the science forum, though i never did post a reply (as far as i can remember) on any thread. I am glad somebody's keeping it clean.

How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking? I remember when I was 104 lbs, the school nurse told me I was too skinny and that I needed to gain weight. I bet I'd be 104 lbs again if I stopped eating for a month.

My mom adopted lots and lots of these kalcats into her home in La Guardia. She feeds 'em, bathe 'em, treats 'me when they are sick, protects 'em & give 'em home.

If people actually did what they were told, there'd be world peace. That's the essence of being human, Rodsky. That's what makes things exciting. LOL
