This thread is a great idea. I'm a new blogger as well. My blog is somewhat personal though, but not just simple rants and posts here and there. I try to make sure I post good content, list posts, how-to's and the like.

I also plan to make a niche blog, but I'll start them later when I have enough money to buy the domains. XD


One thing I would like to suggest is for the TS to update the first post with good info found among the posts in this thread so people won't have to search the whole thread.
